Newport Says U.S. Housing Demand `Still Relatively Weak'

Apr. 19, 2011 - April 19 (Bloomberg) -- Patrick Newport, an economist with IHS Global Insight, talks about U.S. housing market conditions. Housing starts gained in March, as work began on 549,000 houses at an annual pace, up 7.2 percent from the prior month, figures from the Commerce Department showed today in Washington.
