Gift ideas from Quirky’s inventors
Quirky is a startup that allows independent inventors to collaborate with designers and community contributors in order to bring a product to market. Looking for a holiday gift that also supports independent entrepreneurs? Check out these options from Quirky.

Quirky works, roughly, like this: An inventor submits an idea. Quirky's "community" of followers from all over the world vote on the best ideas. From those, Quirky picks two to develop further. They work with the inventor on the design, materials and marketing, then produce the product and sell it to retailers like Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and more. The inventor makes about 35-40 percent of the profit, and the people who influence the final product also get a smaller cut. These are a few of the 60-some products Quirky has successfully taken to market.
