President Obama’s campaign message was packed with promises to small business owners — that he would reduce their taxes, strip away regulations and put them back on the path to hiring and expansion. Now that he’s secured a second term, small employers are trying to figure out how his vision will play out for their companies.
Many are concerned that the sluggish economic growth and high unemployment that plagued the president’s first term will continue over the next four years. But others believe his promises to reform the tax code and drive down health insurance costs will accelerate the economic recovery and create jobs on Main Street.
