Need a ride? No problem.
The car service Uber released a redesigned app that simplifies the process of getting a car on demand. Users can now easily enter a destination into the app and even estimate the fare charge that they can expect to see on their credit card. The app also makes it a bit easier to see where cars are available to help with the mental calculus of whether it would be a better bet to take the Metro — or even walk. The car service itself tends to be prompt and professional. But if it’s not, users can rate their driver’s performance. The redesigned version is free for iOS devices. The older app also is available on Android.
