Apple has announced a new iTunes milestone, saying that a user in Germany has bought the store’s 25 billionth track. The customer, Phillip Lüpke, will receive a gift card for €10,000, or around $13,500, which should keep him downloading iTunes music for quite a while.

The iTunes store took 10 years to reach this latest milestone, said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services in a release.
Cue also dropped some interesting statistics about the store, including the gem that Apple sees around 15,000 downloads on its store per minute.
In the company’s latest earnings release, Apple disclosed that its iTunes store generated $1.7 billion in revenue with its 20 million song catalog in the last quarter of 2012. Over 140 million of those downloads came on Christmas day along.
Apple’s App Store, meanwhile, recently celebrated its 400 billionth download. It generated $700 million sales in the company’s most recent quarter.
