FBI arrests alleged LulzSec member for Sony attack

A member of the LulzSec hacking group was arrested for an attack against Sony Pictures, the FBI announced Thursday.

According to a release from the agency, Cody Kretsinger, 23, of Phoenix, allegedly worked with co-conspirators from LulzSec to obtain confidential information from Sony Pictures’ computer systems and attack its Web site.

The FBI appears to be closing in on members of the splashy hacking group and its affiliate, Anonymous. Members of the Los Angeles FBI field office arrested a hacker in San Francisco on Thursday who was allegedly involved in cyberattacks on Santa Cruz County Web sites, Fox News reported.
