Tumblr confirmed Monday that a “viral post” is spreading quickly through its platform and that it is trying to resolve the issue.
In a message posted to the company’s official Twitter account, the blogging site said, “We are aware that there is a viral post circulating on Tumblr. We are working to resolve the issue as swiftly as possible. Thank you. “

The post promotes the agenda of a group called the “GNAA,” which apparently isn’t that fond of bloggers. The profanity-laden message criticizes bloggers and calls them “emo, self-insisting, self-deprecating, self-indulgent empty husks of human beings.”
Users who click on the links in these posts will have the message posted to their own blogs.
Tumblr has disabled posting on the site.
On its blog, security firm Sophos suggested that all users stop visiting Tumblr sites, particularly if they are logged into accounts of their own. Over at Mashable, Alex Fitzpatrick said that he appeared to have been able to stop the effects of the worm by changing his password and deleting the infected posts.
