Get help on giving time
If you can’t give money this holiday season, VolunteerMatch is a great way to find out where you can give of an often more-precious resource: your time. Downloading this app lets you see which nearby organizations could use your help, match your skills to fit organizations’ needs and even sort your results by date. If you’re not sure about an organization, the app lists reviews from other volunteers, so you can double-check whether you’ll be a good fit. The app also gives you the opportunity to flag organizations that you might want to revisit once you have a little more time. Free, for iOS devices.
