2014 Toyota Avalon & Prius Pricing Announced

If you're in the market for a new Toyota, listen up, because the automaker has just announced pricing for 2014 models of two popular sedans: the Avalon and the Prius.

On the whole, prices for the Avalon will remain flat, with two significant exceptions.

Prices for other Avalon trim levels won't change for 2014:

Prius shoppers can also breathe a sigh of relief, because all five variants of the popular Prius liftback -- the car that gave birth to the Prius c, Prius v, and Prius Plug-In Hybrid -- will remain the same for model-year 2014:

If you're looking for a bargain on the Prius, though, you might check out the Plug-In, since Toyota will cut prices on that model by $2,000 to $4,600 in 2014.

Don't expect these flatline prices to last: the current generation of the Prius is getting a bit long in the tooth, and it's due for a significant upgrade in the not-too-distant future. Rumors about the next-gen Prius have been swirling for months, and in August, a Toyota rep said that it could roll out as early as the 2015 model year. Stay tuned.
