In 300 Words or less, tell us a story about why your car is the best ride around. Was it the first car you ever drove, how you rebuilt a car, or a memorable road trip?

Rules and Guidelines

Send your submissions by email to Be sure to include in your entry, your full name, an email address, your postal address and your daytime phone number.

Entries should be no more than 300 words. Please include one to three high-resolution photos of your car along with your written submission. Tell us a story about why your car is the best ride in town.

The deadline is the last Friday of the month before publication.

We will select at least one submission per month for publication in the Friday Cars section of The Washington Post. The Friday Cars section is a special advertising section that is produced by the Washington Post Custom Content Department and does not involve the news or editorial staff of The Washington Post. Entrants may be contacted for more information, and we will notify the author of the selected submission before publication.

Your entry needs to be entirely your original work, and it cannot previously have been published anywhere else. Entries officially become the property of The Washington Post upon submission (i.e., we may edit, publish, distribute, and otherwise use your submission, including your photos, in any way and in any medium), but if your entry is not selected for publication within three months after submission, you may use or publish your story elsewhere.

Employees of The Washington Post, and their immediate relatives, may not submit entries.
