Congratulations to the 2013 Urban Journalism Workshop Participants

The Urban Journalism Workshop (UJW), sponsored by the Washington Association of Black Journalists in partnership with The Washington Post’s Young Journalists Development Program, is now in its 27th year.

Since its inception in 1986, UJW has introduced hundreds of D.C.-area high school students to media careers through an intensive skills-building workshop held each spring for eight weeks.

Students work with professional journalists to produce a newspaper, a radio newsmagazine and television news broadcast, as well as Web-only features for the workshop’s website, www.ujwonline.org.

The 2013 Urban Journalism Workshop series runs from March 2 through April 27.
