The Washington Post sponsors Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival
The Washington Post is proud to be the official media sponsor of the bold, provocative and dynamic performance making up INTERSECTIONS. Over 12 days the festival celebrates the performing arts with the talents and energy of artists from D.C. and beyond. Kicking off February 22nd, performances run through March 10th.
Throughout the festival, audiences are invited to explore sound, discover movement, experience story and celebrate family though a variety of concerts, plays, film and more. “INTERSECTIONS seeks to connect the broadest possible audience with the most exciting new ways of making community- inspiring art. We invite you to join us—to be delighted, energized and maybe just a little transformed,” says Mary Hall Surface, Festival Artistic Director.
The Washington Post is also proud to present the Café Concert Series, which provides over thirty free performances for audiences of all ages. Staged in the Atlas’ Kogod Lobby, audiences can enjoy an intersection of art, culture and connection during these performances featuring world music, vocal ensembles and jazz.
