A bald eagle plots its next move after catching a fish below the Conowingo Dam in Conowingo, Md. A few diehard birders braved freezing off-season temperatures to spot a sparse few bald eagles fish for the day's meal at this favorite spot on the Susquehanna River. Just below the dam spillways and turbine output, a few bird species dine on fish year-round. Locals jokingly call it the "dam restaurant."
