AP vs. IB - the new era
Our long term discussant Lisa McLoughlin, aka Lisamc31, has recently told readers of her TruthaboutIB blog that she may not be posting quite as often because she has a new job. We congratulate Lisa on her efforts to make the Obama economy look better, but this inspires me---as we establish a refurbished Admissions 101 site on washingtonpost.com---to survey Ad 101 family members on the state of the AP vs IB battle. As you know, this group has produced the longest topic string in America on this issue. Our remodelers are trying to get it up on our new site as we speak. Where is the battle now? Who is winning? Who is losing? My sense is that despite Lisa’s efforts, the IB forces are still doing well. They are not close to the power of AP, but the controversies over IB have been relatively few and confined to very small schools like Incline Village, Nev. Am I wrong? Tell me.
