Manners and mores, family-style: “Is it okay to take food from one restaurant into another? Specifically, if a small child wants fast food and the rest of you want to go to a sit-down restaurant that serves food the child doesn’t like? My wife and I are at complete odds on this; she says it’s tacky and insulting to the restaurant, but I can’t see any restaurant personnel getting upset that a 6-year-old wants a burger instead of Thai.”
