From a reader: “How do you advise someone NOT to discuss all her marital problems via Facebook? Woman decides to separate from (but still cohabitate with) my brother-in-law, slapping a ‘separated’ in her Facebook profile. Now she is posting about being in love--I assume with someone else--and other mysterious details on her status.

“In the middle there are two adorable little kids. On the outside, there are a couple of dozen friends and relatives who open their mouths with a loud WTH? each time she posts something.

Would you talk to her, rally someone closer to her to do it, let her publicly implode, or ...?“Having being through painful couple-moments myself, I remember that privacy was incredibly valuable when the storm passed. I’m not her close friend but we are in-laws. Should I just gawk and sneer? Should I just stare and stay quiet? Should I open the window and scream on top of my lungs?”
