Will a magnet high school help your college search?
On my blog, washingtonpost.com/class-struggle, I am arguing with a graduate of the Thomas Jefferson High School of science and technology about whether attending her famous magnet school adds much value, like making it easier to get into a good college. I say it makes it harder, because there is more competition at your school for the college you have your heart set on. So are magnets worth it?
