David Montgomery was born in Brooklyn, grew up in suburban New York, graduated from Princeton University and the University of Michigan, and was a reporter at The Buffalo News before joining The Washington Post in 1993. He covered Prince George’s County, Maryland politics and life in the District, then became a feature writer in the Style section. He currently writes general features and profiles for the Sunday Magazine, Sunday Style and Sunday Arts, with a focus on the Latino community and Latino arts. He is married and has two daughters.
