TV highlights: Amy Adams on ‘Inside the Actors Studio’ and Olympic figure skating

The Winter Olympics (NBC at 8 p.m.) coverage finally lets us indulge in the women’s figure skating competition with hopefuls Gracie Gold, Polina Edmunds and Ashley Wagner representing the United States in the short program. Also, men’s Alpine skiing (giant slalom) finals, women’s bobsled and men’s snowboarding.

The top 15 male “American Idol” (Fox at 8) contestants perform on this live two-hour episode.

“Inside the Actors Studio” (Bravo at 8) features Amy Adams talking about her most notable roles in such films as “Junebug,” “Enchanted” and last year’s “American Hustle,” for which she has been nominated for an Academy Award.

“Super Skyscrapers” (MPT and WETA at 10) looks as the construction of the Shanghai Tower and China’s intense focus on tall buildings.

On “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (CBS at 10), Nick and Greg investigate the death of a 16-year-old girl who might have strong ties to a brothel.

Concerned with how nice she is, Abbi tries out a bad attitude at a swanky party on “Broad City” (Comedy Central at 10:30), where she and Ilana meet some interesting DJs.

Donald Trump and actress Lupita Nyong’o are on the “Late Show With David Letterman” (CBS at 11:35), with a musical performance from Little Dragon.

Actors Matthew McConaughey and June Squibb join “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC at 11:35), with music from Switchfoot.

Actor Bradley Cooper appears on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (NBC at midnight), along with musical guest Tim McGraw.
