TV Highlights: ‘Big Brother’ returns

RETURNING SHOW: It’s that time of year again: A group of people enter a house that they’ll live in for a summer filled with degrading challenges and plenty of ridiculous drama — that’s right, it’s the Season 15 premiere of “Big Brother” (CBS at 8). This season is several weeks longer and has a few extra contestants, as 16 houseguests get ready to compete Wednesday night. A few other twists this season: Three houseguests will be up for eviction each week, and viewers will vote for an MVP each week that will impact the game.

Jane Seymour guest-stars as Peter’s mom on “Franklin & Bash” (TNT at 9), and she needs her lawyer son’s help quickly when she’s arrested for prostitution but insists she’s innocent.

FINALE WATCH: It’s the end of the road for short-lived “How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)” (ABC at 9:30), as Polly schemes to get her daughter into the gifted program at school.

New special/possible back-door pilot “King of the Grill” (Discovery at 10) follows Ritch Robin, who creates super high-tech grills and smokers.

Victoria heads home for a visit on “Hot in Cleveland” (TV Land at 10), only to find out that her sister tricked her into coming back; meanwhile, Elka has advice when Victoria learns some disturbing news about her mother.

Dressmaker Thelma Madine gives a behind-the-scenes look at the most memorable gowns she has created for Gypsy brides-to-be on “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding: Best Dressed Brides” (TLC at 10).

The divorced guys/Holly’s tenants are used to having Holly around on “The Exes” (TV Land at 10:30), but things get awkward when Holly’s new boyfriend says he’s not comfortable with the guys being around when he’s there.

“Late Show With David Letterman” (CBS at 11:50, delayed for a golf round-up) hosts the 2013 Stanley Cup MVP Patrick Kane from the Chicago Blackhawks, along with actor Jamie Foxx and musical guest Wale; plus, a Top 10 List presented by the Backstreet Boys.

Comedian Whitney Cummings, marine-turned-model Alex Minsky and singer John Fogerty are on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” (NBC at 11:35).

Actor Channing Tatum and director Paul Feig are guests on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC at 11:35), along with a performance by Pharrell.
