SERIES PREMIERE: An addition to AMC’s historical drama lineup, “Turn” (9) is set in the Revolutionary-era and tells the untold story of America’s first spy ring.
RETURNING SHOW: HBO is stacked with a night of favorites old and new, starting with the return of “Game of Thrones” (9) with Tyrion welcoming a guest to King’s Landing in the Season 4 premiere.
SERIES PREMIERE: Next airs the first episode of “Silicon Valley” (HBO at 10), a comedy from Mike Judge partly inspired by his experiences in the late ’80s.
RETURNING SHOW: Following that, the Season 3 opener of “Veep” (HBO at 10:30) has Selena in Iowa plugging her new book.
