Step away from the jeans. Though versatile, denim does very little in the wow department. Pants with loud florals, happy polka dots and pretty paisleys, on the other hand, scream “Let’s have some fun!”

“We have a tendency to get in a rut wearing the same solid pants and just interchanging the top,” says Violet Boutique owner Julie Egermayer. “But wearing patterned bottoms is an easy way to add some pop to your wardrobe. They’re no longer a fashion risk — they’re a fashion staple.” We’ve rounded up our favorite patterned pants to prove that this season, prints are king.
