Feminine hues and girly silhouettes make a splash

As if you needed another reason to dive head-first into warm weather, this summer sandy beaches and scene-y rooftop pools will be dotted with form-flattering bathing suits with a decidely femme feel. It’s a good thing the season’s most womanly trends — florals, ruffles, vibrant stripes — also play up your shape (or make it look like you have one). Think frilly necklines that accentuate bosoms and colorblocking that gives the illusion of curves. “Everybody has assets,” says Cyla Weiner, owner of Sylene’s lingerie and bathing suit boutique in Chevy Chase. “You want a suit you feel good in, because that’ll radiate.”
