Public-health pioneer Antronette “Toni” Yancey, who advocated for 10-minute activity breaks she called “Instant Recess,” died two weeks ago at the age of 55 at her home in Los Angeles. To celebrate her work, get out of your chair at 4 p.m. today to take part in an active tribute (find the link at Facebook.com/InstantRecess). Local radio station WPFW 89.3 FM will air an Instant Recess on Wednesday morning.
