What’s the most important consideration when choosing your Halloween costume for these holiday-centric exercise events? Whether you can move in it.

Believe
Sports Club/LA, 1170 22nd St. NW; Sat., 8:30 p.m., $25; yalafitness.com
If you can survive a dance workout set to Michael Jackson tunes with Yala founder Laurent Amzallag, you get to treat yourself to Bacardi cocktails at the after-party. There will be prizes for best costumes.

Thriller on H Street
Joy of Motion, 1333 H St. NE; Sat., 7:30 p.m.; $25-$30; joyofmotion.org
The King of Pop’s music is also the inspiration for Joy of Motion’s annual “Thriller” workshop. Learn the choreography from the legendary video, and possibly take home a door prize.

Goblin Gallop
Fairfax Corner Shopping Center, 11945 Grand Commons Ave., Fairfax; Sun., 8:30 a.m., 1K $15-$20, 5K $20-$33; goblingallop.org
Glow-in-the-dark T-shirts are one way to lighten the mood at a race. A moon bounce, live music and lots of costumes are a few others.

High Heel Race
17th St. NW (between P and S streets); Oct. 29, 9 p.m.
The drag racers will be the center of attention, but spectators — who start gathering at about 6 p.m. — will work their calf muscles standing on their tiptoes.

Oh-So-Omm Halloween
Lil Omm Yoga, 4708 Wisconsin Ave. NW; Oct. 31, 3 p.m., $10 per family; lilomm.com
Distract your kids from candy — at least briefly — at this afternoon of storytelling, singing and dancing. It’s a warm-up for a special costume-clad yoga flow/playtime class.

Night of the Bicycling Dead
BicycleSPACE, 1019 Seventh St. NW; Oct. 31, 8 p.m., free; nightofthebicyclingdead2013.eventbrite.com
Zombies that really like brains always wear helmets. Ragged clothes and ghoulish makeup are also encouraged on this group ride.
