The owner of Uprising Muffin Company (1817 Seventh St. NW; 202-290-1196, estimates he bakes 500 of the treats a day. We chatted with the muffin man over a blueberry streusel variety.

What is your favorite cereal?
Frosted Flakes. I never knew why they tasted so much better at my grandma’s than at home. It’s because she used whole milk and we used skim.

Books or movies?

Movies or music?
Music. Or what about movie soundtracks? That’s both.

Do you have a celebrity crush?
My wife has her fair share of celebrity crushes so I won’t get in trouble for saying this: Salma Hayek is pretty smoking.

What is the best gift you’ve ever received?
My wife. Please print that and send it to me.
