Backlash over the trade for POW Bowe Bergdahl is on today’s cover

Five years after being captured by the Taliban while serving in Afghanistan, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been freed in a deal that traded him for five Guantanamo Bay prisoners. Now, the White House is facing criticism for the negotiations. Some critics say the trade has put a price on U.S. service members — one of ours is worth five of theirs. Still, others say the situation required immediacy and was worth the backlash for Bergdahl’s safety. Was the trade worth it?
