D.C. schools’ push for new physical education is on today’s cover

Gone are the days of  getting pummeled by dodgeballs and mocked for mile-run times. D.C. schools are changing up gym programs to focus less on athleticism and group comparisons and more on health and personal progress. While the initial shift was geared toward wellness, an added benefit is a gentler gym experience for students.
