A vehicle is crushed under collapsed buildings in Lyttelton, near Christchurch, New Zealand. The death toll had risen to 145 Saturday, and the hope for finding survivors was fading as rescuers searched debris for more than 200 people still missing. The quake, an aftershock of a 7.1 magnitude temblor that struck the South Island city on Sept. 4, 2010, has caused damage and fatalities far exceeding those of the original.
