Beck joined the Wilmington High School choir on the portable stage at the end of their musical selections. Beck was in the beleaguered city, suffering from the loss of thousands of jobs when DHL Express closed a WIlmington facility when it ended domestic delivery service in 2008. Beck, on a tour promoting his new book "Broke", has talked about the plight of Wilmington regularly on his radio and television shows and pledged to lead an effort to help rebuild confidence in and about the central Ohio city.
