BYT Beaujolais Nouveau Party

Editorial Review

The guys-and-girls-about-town Web site Brightest Young Things hosts a party at the cool, dimly lit 1905 every year, and though it can be crowded -- 10-minute-wait-for-a-drink crowded -- the vibe, the French pop music and the 20-something crowd are always lively. There's usually a line down the block by 11, and the free wine doesn't begin flowing until midnight. If you're habitually late, buying a ticket in advance is the only way to guarantee admission. (Early arrivals get drink specials to help ease the wait.)

The restaurant also offers a dinner option: Four courses for $50 per person, which does not include tax, tip or drinks. Call 202-332-1905 for reservations and more information.
