According to bar lore, "bullfeathers" was President Teddy Roosevelt's favorite euphemism for another, better-known bull byproduct. When the House is in session you can bet patrons sling it around aplenty at this popular Capital Hill hangout. The saloon area, equipped with four newfangled televisions, otherwise imparts an old-time pre-Social Security and Medicare mood. Count on pub grub and occasional beer specials.

Atmosphere

I always enjoyed Bullfeathers. There was always an old time atmosphere about it. It is now a few years since I've been there. The last time I brought some friends and their childre and the service and food were both excellent.
