Bartender Frank Jones, who splits his time between the Gibson and Jack Rose, clearly picked up a few tricks when he worked under award-winning mixologist Gina Chersevani at PS 7's. He's now showing off his skills every Tuesday night in the Gibson's well-appointed second-floor lounge.

Dubbed Cocktail Sessions, this is a homage to the long-running Cocktail Sessions at Bar Pilar, where bartender Adam Bernbach (now at Proof) created five new drinks every Tuesday night. Jones riffs on the same concept, using a full complement of infused spirits and house-made ingredients.

There's frequently a theme: One week the Prince song "Dirty Mind" was the inspiration for the five cocktails; another week Jones was nursing a broken heart, so he whipped up Burns Like Hell, with five-year-old rum, allspice dram and a fiery house-made habanero syrup.

Unlike the rest of the Gibson, no reservations are required; just tell the person at the door you're there for Cocktail Sessions. Another bonus: All drinks are $10.
