Nightmare on M Street Bar Crawl

Editorial Review

All the action isn't in Georgetown on Halloween. A dozen blocks away, downtown bars are hosting their own "Nightmare on M Street" bar crawl, featuring costumes and food and beer specials. A $20 cover ($15 in advance in advance from LindyPromo.com) is good for specials at every bar, including $2 Coors Lite, $3 Blue Moon beers and $4 Captain Morgan and Jeremiah Weed sweet tea vodka drinks.

Register at Mackey's, McFadden's or the Front Page, and then party until close with no cover at the 11 other participating bars: Rumors, the Mighty Pint, BlackFinn, Cafe Citron, Ozio, Public Bar, Madhatter, the 19th Hole, Fast Eddie's, Bread 'n' Brew, James Hoban's, Penang, and Sign of the Whale.

This crawl tends to attract a lot of participants, so your best bets are to go early or to pick some of the off-the-beaten-track places if you want to get your money's worth without waiting in long lines. (19th, the Black Rooster and James Hoban's might be good places to start.)

The midnight costume contest takes place at McFadden's, with $150 for the best costume and $150 for the best Captain Morgan-inspired costume.
