If you want a big St. Patrick's Day party -- and we mean a really big St. Patrick's Day party -- it doesn't get more over-the-top than Shamrock Fest at RFK Stadium. The day-long festival includes more than 40 bands and DJs, including the Roots -- the finest live hip-hop band in the world -- and Celtic rockers Black 47, an all-star lineup of Clarendon favorites like Mr. Greengenes, Carbon Leaf and Dr. Fu, and more Irish bands than you can shake a shamrock at, including Enter the Haggis, Scythian and Donegal X-Press.

Besides music, the day features a midway with carnival rides, beer trucks, TV areas for watching college hoops, pub games and more. New this year: An attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous chest bump, with the participation fee going to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Tickets for the day are $19.99, or $31.99 if you want to participate in the Chest Bump Against Cancer. Prices will rise several times before the day of the event. VIP tickets, which include unlimited beer, more TV screens, tented lounge space and private bathrooms, are $69.99, or $81,99 with Chest Bump participation. Your choice depends on how much free beer and clean portajohns matter to you.
