Asylum's street level bar has become Smoke and Barrel, a saloon focused on barbecue, craft beer and bourbon.
The place in terms of environment is nice decorated, i liked the front space that look to the street. Food? there is no relation with the web menu or table menu and what you get. Very poor portions served in an hospital aluminum tray; no worthwhile to come back unless you are just going for beers which i listen to a friend that are not the common ones. If Smoke and Barrel want anyone to go back to their tables have two options: lower your prices to match your portions or purchase china to serve what you cook decently plus better service.
This little saloon is asking $15 for a shot of whiskey to go along with a can of beer, on big-pizza row in Adams Morgan, which is basically an extension of the Ocean City boardwalk. You gotta be kidding. The extra star is for an ambitious list of beers. Food was just OK.
