A New Orleans-themed restaurant and bar with po' boys, cocktails and live jazz and R&B.
We tried five different apps, all well done. Best was crawfish and andouille "cheesecake". Delightful. Three different mains, all well done: spicy shrimp po'boy, the pecan crusted trout (The Maple Leaf), and the crawfish etouffee pot pie. Amazing flavor and good size dishes. You will not leave here hungry. A decent, no frills wine list, and some great mixed drinks. All in all, we had a great dining experience and will be back with friends for brunch. Oh, service was good too. Have heard it gets very noisy, but we were there on a slow night, downstairs and did not have to raise our voices between the three of us to converse. Well done, Bayou.
Went here to cure a craving for cajun, and walked away raving. My date and I ate at the bar after the hostess was incredibly difficult and rude, and was incredibly happy with the decision. The bartender was awesome and steered us to great food choices. We had the pork drumsticks for an appetizer which I am still talking about weeks late. AMAZING. I had the shrimp and grits and my date had the jambalaya. We were very pleased with both. One of the few places I would go back to and order the exact same meal (though I want to try everything else too!). If you have a hankering for cajun and New Orleans beers/drinks, I cannot recommend this place enough!
