This bistro fizzes up the neighborhood with over 50 Belgian beers.
The service was nice, it was good to sit outside in April, but the food was lacking. The mussels with bacon and truffles had too much cream and not enough flavor, the marrow starter was just a bizarre goopy fatty mess. The frites were good though ... hot and crispy with nice dunking condiments. Desserts were ok, but the blackberry cobbler was too much like a granola crisp with not enough fruit and a minuscule dollop of ice cream (which was flavorful). All in all, glad we tried, but after a bill of $206 before tip (albeit with two bottles of wine), I'm not sure we'd be back any time soon.
Excellent service and great food! Check out my full review here - http://whatmickyeats.blogspot.com/2012/01/brasserie-beck.html
