Funny how the reviews here are so off. Woman are very welcomed here and Cobalt has one of the friendliest bar staffs in Dupont. Tuesdays they have a retro dance party, Wednesdays is Karaoke, Thursdays best package contest, and Fridays bring some of the top DJs anywhere. Saturdays are a variety of Promoter events including a Lesbian event, an Asian Event, and a hipster Indie Rock night. Convenient and fun. Enjoy

Rude and Discriminatory - Avoid!!!

I went to Cobalt with a group of gay and straight friends. After paying $5 cover and being there for only 30 mins, the 2 straight men in our group went outside for a smoke, and were denied entry back in. The bouncer would not explain why. When I went down to find out what was wrong, the bouncer refused to let me back inside as well. I was not allowed upstairs to get my coat from coat check nor was my friend allowed to get his credit card from the bar. When we spoke to the general manager, he was rude and offensive and would also not give us any explanation. When I told him that my group of friends and I were leaving and would not be coming back, his is answer was "Good. We have enough business." From the Manager!! Rude and Discriminatory.
