Went to Lotus for the first time, ordered a Sapphire Lemonade from the bartender, was given a gin and tonic. Apparently when I said "that's not what I ordered" I may as well have just insulted her mother and entire family because she huffily threw the drink away and when I tried to order another drink (after she made a pointed attempt to ignore my existence from that point on) she asked me why I would order a drink if I didn't want it. Last I checked bartenders were in the "service" industry, it shouldn't have been too hard to just correct her mistake but I would definitely never go back to Lotus.
I used to enjoy coming to Lotus Lounge for the nightlife, but last night's fiasco changed my mind. On their website it clearly states that ladies get in free all night and men can get in for free by 11 if they're on the guest list. My male friend signed up for the guest list and got a confirmation email. We arrived before 11 and stood in line until about 11:45. When we were about to enter one of the people that worked there told us it was $20 per person. My friends and I reminded them that their website clearly stated it was free for women and men who were on the list, but we were told there was a "private party" going on and everyone had to pay. Needless to say, we, and a flock of other girls, left. The clientele that stayed was mostly men
I've only been here for Happy Hour. The sushi is great, and they have some pretty good cocktails. It's a really nice ambiance, making it a great place to relax after a long day.
