Great Blue Grass

I went to WVU 20 years ago so when Bill D brought blue grass to the neighborhood I live in I was thrilled. I still go at least once a month, and the quality of the music is great and MO is a fun intimate place to watch a band. I have not tried the food mostly because did not realize they had food.

Wednesdays top floor 80's

If you love the 80's and remeber what it was like to have a wine cooler at the bar then this is the place to go on wednesday. They call it Madam's 80's Flashback. It's on the 2nd floor, where you can play 80's video games, dance and listen to original 80's music by Dj london Shadows. I've never had such a good time since Heaven and Hell's 80's went to hell. Awesome Bar Staff and if you love homemade mac and cheese and other snacking pleasures, they have it all. Pool Table is always open. They have blue grass on the first floor as well. But I prefer the 2nd floor 80's. Had such a fabulour time.

Bad food, no standing room, off beat music

I am a big fan of bluegrass music, but the band that was playing that night was mediocre at best. They were offbeat and messed up some pretty simple songs. Veggie nachos were like a trip to really bad Taco Bell - fake cheese, refried beans, and no veggies to speak of. Although the upstairs area is cool, you can't hear or see the band from there, and there is no standing room downstairs where the band is. Service was also very poor - our waitress seemed a little drugged out. The door guys were nice, but that's about it.
