BEST Pisco Sours!!

I love Cafe Rumba! I return about once a month if only to enjoy the best Pisco Sour in DC! I have never had a bad meal here or been disappointed with the service. I highly recommend this charming little spot.

Losing Ground

Had been a regular patron of Rumba for some time and felt compelled to comment after my last few experiences. Arriving early, or on an off nit, had no crowds to contend with. Nevertheless, service seemed clueless and lacking. On two occasions, our waitress seemed very poor with english and we decided it better to go to Spanish. The wine list no longer specifies what "Cabernet" you are getting and our waitress answered the question by saying "it's a red wine." thanks! (turns out it is a La Postelle). Oh well. Our second round of tapas never came, and waiter appeared stunned when I inquired. Claimed we never ordered! Nice owner offered to comp a dessert. Tapas arrived but was not what I ordered. Waiter never checked on us or asked.

The best birthday

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. They took a table of 12 on a friday night at 830. The service was great. The manager stopped by several times to ask how everything was going. The food and drinks were excellent - the filet mignon tapas and mojitos being my favorite. My friends and I had a lovely time. I'd recommend this place highly.
