    Smoke and Barrel slashes prices on its outstanding American and European draft beer selection on Friday and Saturday nights. Prices drop $1 off the list price at 10 p.m., $2 at 11 and then $3 from midnight to close. The caveat: To keep the crowds in check, bartenders require you to give them a password, which you can find on the Smoke and Barrel Twitter and Facebook pages.

    Every day, the Adams Morgan barbecue joint offers $4 local beers and $5 bourbons. On Wednesdays, every draft beer is half-price.

    Taco happy hour at Smoke and Barrel

    Get three of Smoke and Barrel's house-smoked tacos (brisket, smoked tofu, pulled pork or pulled chicken) and one side, including collard greens and ham, fried okra or coleslaw, for $5 all night.
