A new suburban beer bar serves as a showcase for English ales from Baltimore’s Oliver Brewery.
The food is freshly prepared and so tasty by a chef who is passionate about his food, so not only have they done an excellent job with just their beer they have stepped it up to also please their guests who are foodies. Highly recommend over any of the other Columbia brew spots. The Ale House has brought a class act to Columbia and they're here to stay.
Never mind the beer selection (although it is excellent). The reason to go to The Ale House is the food. I have tried something different every time I've been there and everything is delicious. I also like how they recognize issues (like the parking) and do something about it. If you are going at a popular time, make a reservation or you'll be in for a wait. Even that isn't always bad. The sometimes send a over waitress with little appetizers to munch on, like cut up flatbread pizzas, for the guests who are waiting.
