Our Review

Probably a concept most of the patrons are intimately familiar with, the Bottom Line is a downtown, corporate, suit and tie, drinker's bar. You'll realize this as soon as you descend the steps into this basement bar.

Simply decorated, with maybe the exception of a wooden Indian, the Bottom Line lets its patrons focus on the business at hand, which is drinking with a little socializing and eating on the side.

The menu here is surprisingly large, though a trifle dull. Almost all of the burgers, sandwiches, salads and Mexican dishes are under $10. A fairly decent happy hour runs here during the week, 4 to 7 p.m., with varying specials on beer only. As might be expected in such a corporate environment, there is a large selection of fine Scotch whiskeys. An excellent place to throw back a stiff one, but don't bring your dancing shoes during the week -- DJs come out on Saturday nights.

this is a special place, the way that it really does motivate you to go out of your way to right a bad review about it. i am familiar with the bar scene in many different places around the country as my job requires me to travel, and no bar has stood out so much as just absolute trash quite like this. it is the worst bar i have ever been to.

This place sucks. Never again. I opened a tab. When I closed out the bartender brought the check without my card. I asked where it is, he says "we don't keep cards here". Whatever. So where is it? "Check your pockets," he says. Check my pockets?! So when I hand you a card and say keep it open... I'm at a loss for words. Don't waste your time. That's one Thursday night I'll never get back.
