The Meeting Place is probably best on Thursdays, when there's free, live jazz. On such occasions, the musicians fill the dance floor while the crowd looks on from tables around the L-shaped room. The intimate seating arrangement can be the perfect setting for the music.

The Meeting Place won't be everyone's choice, however, as a place to meet someone. The space is dark and windowless, with the bar intruding into the dining area and the dining area intruding into the dance floor. On Saturdays, there's a cover charge to listen to the DJ.
