A gorgeous waterfront club with a variety of music and exotic drinks.

When Zanzibar opened in 1998, it was the premier venue of its kind in the city. Arguably, it is now the most long-lasting since many of its competitors, including H2O have closed. There reasons for this. The drinks are not watered down and are a good value. The live shows are outstanding, and they are performed on one of the best stages in the city. There is a variety of music on three floors and the patrons are more polite and less rowdy than at many other venues. Although the food is no longer a main attraction, it is still satifying.
My first and my last time. $40.00 the food was horrible, variety was limited, no coke refills, no desserts, food was cold, picnic tables and chairs for seating. You collect the money upfront, so you don't know if the food is good or bad!!! No more for me.
I like this club because of the age limit. I go out every once in awhile and when I do I don't want to be around a bunch of young people. There is a nice atmosphere.
I've visited Zanzibar for dinner and an evening out on several occasions over the past 2-3 years. The food at the restaurant is delicious, with a nice selection of menu items to choose from. The restaurant wait staff is always courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. I've invited my out-of-town friends to join me for dinner and partying afterwards and no one has left the club unhappy. My only complaint is the shortage of seats in the nightclub. After dinner, if you haven't "reserved" a table, you're likely to spend the evening standing. After a nice meal and a few drinks, a table to sit is a good thing. Other then that problem, I'd highly recommend the Zanzibar to all my friends.
