Thursday Happy Hour at the Front Page

Washington, DC  | Thursdays

For more than a decade, this Dupont restaurant and bar has been a destination for interns on Thursdays. Why? It has a free taco bar from 5 to 7 p.m. and $2 Coronas and Miller Lites all night.

Backyard Bash

Washington, DC  | 8/22 - 8/29

On Wednesday nights from 5 to 7 p.m., Helix Lounge fires up a wood grill on its patio so that chefs can whip up custom beef, chicken and veggie burgers for $7. Chips are included, and there's a DIY fixins bar. Add a can of PBR ($2) or local favorite DC Brau ($3) and you've got a cool meal for $10 or less.

Happy Hour at Mandu

Washington, DC  | Daily

Both the 18th and K street locations of this family-run Korean restaurant offer $3 plates of traditional mandu - fried or steamed dumplings filled with shrimp, meat or vegetables - every day from 4 to 7 p.m. Wash them down with $3 beers or $4 mixed drinks, including "Sojutinis" made with Korean spirits.
