Crowds pack Patty Boom Boom to listen to reggae and dancehall DJs on weekends, but it's more fun to stop by on Tuesdays when the Arkives band - and occasional guests from Jamaica - performs old-school ska and rocksteady classics.
The promoters of Glow, the weekly dance night renowned for bringing the world's biggest techno and house DJs to D.C., started hosting intimate sets at Lima last year. Now they've gone even more low-key at this weekly lounge event, which features local DJs spinning their favorite tunes and pizza and pasta served until midnight.
