James McPherson, Pulitzer prize-winning author of "Battle Cry of Freedom," Eric Foner, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "The Fiery Trial" and James Oakes author of the new book "Freedom National: The Destruction of Slavery in the United States, 1861-1865" will discuss the history of emancipation, Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. Annette Gordon Reed, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "The Hemingses of Monticello" will moderate the panel. At the William G. McGowan Theater.
